In 1965, the first Clancy’s opened in Nobelsville, Indiana. The Sidney, Ohio location opened in 1966, becoming the company’s second Clancy’s restaurant. Within 15 years, Clancy’s had 27 restaurants in 4 states; Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. In the 70’s, the increasing growth of the larger national fast-food chains started affecting the company, and Clancy’s restaurants began closing. The Sidney Clancy’s location is the only one remaining.
Some of the former Clancy’s location include Nobelsville & Plainfield (IN), Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Marion, Shelby, Tipp City, Mansfield, Galion, Bellevue, Fremont, Norwalk, Orville, and Bucyrus (OH), Corbin & Middlesboro (KY), and Tazewill (TN)
